A practical theological study of their leadership roles as haar tesisonderwerp. Prof Ian Nell was haar studieleier. Die onderwerp van haar pas gepubliseerde boek beskryf sy as volg: “It is mainly about women taking up leadership roles. Wrong interpretations of scriptures and culture have hindered women from taking up leadership roles. So, the book is discouraging wrong interpretations of the scriptures, resulting from what I call a ‘one-dimensional approach’. A recommendation is made to re-read the Biblical texts as well as our Chewa culture and the history of the synod with a multi-dimensional approach in which the literary, historical-cultural, and theological-rhetorical aspects are all considered because this approach liberates the oppressed and the marginalized.”
